Home remedies for glowing skin summer: Try the health benefits of aloe vera and watermelon for skincare in summer

Summer heat and humidity can leave your face feeling sticky, oily, and prone to breakouts. Additionally, UV rays and exposure to air conditioning can dry out your skin, causing flakiness and dullness. This is why your skin needs extra care during the hot season.

One of the best ways to refresh your complexion and rejuvenate your skin is through DIY face masks. Here are six easy recipes to try for a refreshing glow:

Watermelon and aloe vera hydration mask: Begin by mixing 2 tablespoons of mashed watermelon pulp with 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel until smooth. Apply the blend evenly across your face and neck. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cool water and pat dry.

Cucumber and yogurt soothing mask: Grate half a cucumber and combine it with 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face, taking care to avoid the eye area. Allow the mask to sit for 20 minutes, then wash it off with water to enjoy a calming effect.

Tomato and gram flour brightening mask: Mix together 1 mashed ripe tomato and 2 tablespoons of besan (gram flour) to create a paste. Gently apply the paste to your face and let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with water, using circular motions for gentle exfoliation.

Sandalwood and rosewater calming mask: Create a smooth paste by combining 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder with 2 tablespoons of rosewater. Apply the mask to your face and neck, letting it dry for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cool water for a soothing and cooling experience.

Aloe Vera and honey nourishing mask: Blend 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel with 1 tablespoon of honey until smooth. Apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye area. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with water and gently pat dry.

Watermelon and mint refreshing mask: Combine 2 tablespoons of watermelon juice with a few chopped fresh mint leaves in a bowl. Gently apply the mixture to your face. Let it rest for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cool water for a revitalising and refreshing experience.
