Vyjayanthimala, the legendary actress and dancer, continues to captivate audiences with her unparalleled grace, even at the age of 91. Recently, she once again mesmerized her fans during a performance in Chennai, where she flawlessly blended her classical dance form with Carnatic music.

The magical moment took place at Kala Pradarshini, where the celebrated musician Girijashankar Sundaresan performed, and Vyjayanthimala responded with an exquisite display of Bharatanatyam expressions.
The video shared by Sundaresan on Instagram showcases the veteran artist performing to the Carnatic composition "Daasiganunta" in raga Abheri, set to the Adi tala.

Known for her roles in iconic films like Devdas (1955), Madhumati (1958), Jewel Thief (1967), and Sangam (1964), she retired from acting in 1970 and dedicated herself to dance. Her contributions to Bharatanatyam have earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1982. In 2024, she was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, a recognition of her immense contribution to Indian arts.
