The episode's standout moment came when Kapil shared a touching story about his four-year-old daughter, who adores Ed Sheeran and can recite the lyrics of 'Shape Of You' from memory.

The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show began in trademark Kapil style where Kapil Sharma employed his self-deprecating humour before introducing Ed Sheeran, setting the stage for a light-hearted and enjoyable episode. For this special episode, Kapil prepared meticulously, making notes on what questions to ask Ed. His efforts paid off as he succeeded in making Ed Sheeran laugh heartily. The atmosphere was instantly electrified when Ed Sheeran, adding an Indian twist to his hit song 'Shape Of You', took the stage with Bhangra dancers. This unique rendition brought smiles to everyone's faces, kicking off the event on a high note.

Ed Sheeran's participation went beyond music. He was game trying out Hindi dialogues with Kapil, causing much amusement, especially when he attempted Allu Arjun's famous line from 'Pushpa' – "Jhukega nahi sala." Additionally, he recreated Shah Rukh Khan's iconic pose, calling the show "the craziest most fun show," much to the delight of
the audience.

The highlight of the episode was a personal moment Kapil shared about his four-year-old daughter, who loves Ed Sheeran and knows the lyrics of 'Shape Of You' by heart.

However, not every comedic segment hit the mark. Sunil Grover, a regular on the show, failed to make a significant impact with his performance in this episode. Alongside Kiku Sharda, they appeared as Diamond Raja and Cotton Candy, inviting Ed Sheeran to join their fictional band, the Chak-Chak Dhoom Orchestra. Despite their best efforts, the comedy fell flat. Nevertheless, Ed's willingness to join in and perform a duet with them brought a memorable moment to the show.

The evening culminated with a fantastic performance by Dharavi Reloaded, India's beloved junk percussion band. Kapil Sharma and Ed Sheeran took over the stage with the band, delivering an unforgettable performance showcasing their drumming skills. This collaborative effort added a unique musical flavour to the comedy show, blending humour and music seamlessly.

Despite some less successful comedic bits, the eighth episode of Kapil Sharma's show was far from serious. It struck a perfect balance between engaging interactions with Ed Sheeran and entertaining sketch comedy. With Kapil Sharma and Ed Sheeran leading the charge, the episode transformed from a simple comedy show into an enjoyable musical night.
