Makers of the Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss OTT have deleted the Bigg Boss OTT 3 announcement post following Salman Khan's house firing incident.

The producers of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss OTT 3 have removed their announcement post about the upcoming season from social media. Earlier, Endemol Shine India, the production company behind Bigg Boss, used their official Instagram to share news of the new season.

The announcement featured a poster of Salman Khan, who appeared to be interacting with the audience by asking, “Who do you want to see in Bigg Boss OTT?" The deletion of this post has sparked speculation among fans about whether the new season will go ahead.

The uncertainty about Bigg Boss OTT 3 comes amid troubling times for its host, Salman Khan. On April 14, gunshots were fired outside Salman's residence at Galaxy Apartments in the Bandra area of Mumbai. The Mumbai Crime Branch later arrested two individuals from Gujarat’s Bhuj in connection to the shooting. The arrested were identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal. The two accused are in the custody till April 25.

Following the incident, the security around Salman Khan has been significantly increased. Previously, the actor had two personal security officers (PSOs). Now, his protection team includes two commandos, two escort vehicles, and 11 police officers categorized under Y+ security. This enhanced security team also carries two automatic weapons.

Salman Khan has yet to comment on the shooting. However, his father, Salim Khan, spoke to India Today, expressing frustration over the threats made against his family. He noted that the Mumbai Police have increased their protection and reassured them of safety. Salim Khan pointed out that the arrest of the two suspects shows the police are actively dealing with the threat.

Bigg Boss OTT's first season was hosted by Karan Johar, with Divya Agarwal winning the title. Salman took over hosting duties from Johar for the second season, which was won by Munawar Faruqui. The show itself allows participants, isolated from the outside world, to compete in various challenges with minimal contact with the outside, making it a unique format separate from the main Bigg Boss series.

The removal of the Bigg Boss OTT 3 announcement post does not necessarily confirm the cancellation of the season but it raises questions about its future. The incident at Salman Khan’s residence and the subsequent increase in his security could be influencing factors in the decision-making process about the show’s continuation. Fans and viewers are left waiting for an official statement from the producers or Salman Khan about the future of Bigg Boss OTT.
