The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show featured co-founder of Infosys Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty, along with Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and his wife Grecia Munoz as special guests.
Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, known for their humility and wit, instantly connected with the audience. Their candid stories and playful banter with host Kapil Sharma added a unique charm to the episode. Sudha Murty stood out with her witty remarks and humorous advice, especially when it came to the topic of household chores.
"All men should learn to do household chores to help their wives," advised Sudha. Kapil Sharma, seizing the moment for a comedic twist, responded, "I’ve just washed the dishes this morning." Sudha, not missing a beat, asked to see his hands. Kapil, with his characteristic humour, quipped, "I’ve washed my hands." Sudha’s quick-witted reply, "If you had washed dishes, your hands would have shown different lines. Yours are perfectly fine... mere se panga nahi lena!" Her witty response left the audience in splits.

Moreover, Sudha Murty candidly confessed she was a “bad cook,” but joked that her culinary skills had inadvertently kept her husband fit over the years. Narayana Murthy, not to be outdone, shared an anecdote about forgetting their 25th wedding anniversary. Despite Sudha’s subtle hints, he completely missed the occasion until their daughter, studying in the US, called to remind him.
Murthy recounted, “She told me to cancel my flight and come back to Bangalore immediately to wish her mother a happy anniversary.” Sudha, adding to the story, said, “I gave him hints, but it didn’t work. I felt bad for a while, but then I realised, it happens in India. Not everyone remembers these things!”
