Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has a new release date

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor gear up for their upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The actors of the upcoming romantic comedy have recently wrapped up shooting in Udaipur and the makers have now delighted fans with the latest update on the film.

The makers have revealed that Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will release in the theatres on 12 September 2025.

The upcoming romantic entertainer features an ensemble cast including Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, Akshay Oberoi and Rohit Saraf in the pivotal roles. The film is helmed by Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Dhadak fame director, Shashank Khaitan.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta & Shashank Khaitan.

Further details of the film are yet to be revealed. However, the film revolves around Sunny, played by Varun Dhawan and Tulsi Kumari essayed by Janhvi Kapoor, two people with completely different personalities. Sunny is a fun-loving and carefree guy, while Tulsi is a cultured and serious girl. Destiny brings them together, and they fall in love.

The film was previously scheduled to release in theatres on April 18, 2025. However, reports have suggested that filmmakers Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan wanted to enhance the film's entertainment value by adding more engaging elements. They planned to shoot additional scenes, including destination wedding sequences, and possibly two new songs, with the goal of refining the overall film.
