Nitesh Tiwari's epic film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is currently in production. Actress Srinidhi Shetty recently revealed that she auditioned for the role of Sita in the highly anticipated film.

Nitesh Tiwari's much anticipated film Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi is currently being filmed. The film has been grabbing headlines for its grand scale and ensemble cast. recently actress Srinidhi Shetty revealed auditioning for Sita's role in the film.

Model and actress Srinidhi Shetty, known for her role in KGF, spoke about the film during a candid conversation with Siddharth Kannan. When asked about the rumours about her being considered for the role of Sita in Ramayana, Srinidhi said, "Yes, I did meet and give a screen test. I remember preparing three scenes very nicely, and they also had a great response; they loved it. I had heard that Yash was a part of Ramayana, and at that time, KGF 2 had released, and the pair was a hit, people were loving it. In just a month or two, this happened (Ramayana audition). So, I was thinking, he will play Raavan, I will play Sita; we will be pitted against each other."

She also praised Sai Pallavi, saying she’s a perfect fit for the role of Sita. “I think Sai Pallavi is a great choice. I would love to see her as Sita in the movie, and like I always say when something works great, when something doesn’t work it is wonderful because you will have some great doors opening for you," she added.

The epic saga Ramayana will unfold in two parts—Part One is set to hit theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by Part Two on Diwali 2027.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavana, and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. Recently, Yash began shooting for his role and was seen visiting the sacred Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to seek divine blessings.
