Defying the traditional norms, Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar and her sister Samiksha Pednekar celebrate the essence of Raksha Bandhan in a unique way. Challenging the perception that the festival is solely about brothers protecting sisters, the Pednekar sisters exemplify the evolving spirit of the occasion.

Marking the auspicious day, Bhumi took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for her sibling, encapsulating the beautiful bond they share. Bhumi and Samiksha celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying rakhis on each other’s wrists. While sharing beautiful pictures with her sister, Bhumi expressed her love in the caption, "Love you @samikshapednekar. To us just being there for each other #HappyRakshabandhan"

In one adorable snapshot, Samiksha is seen tying a rakhi on Bhumi's wrist, while another picture captures a tender moment of Bhumi holding a young Samiksha in her arms.

The actress, known for her role in 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' has previously expressed her annual tradition of celebrating the festival with her younger sister.

In an interview with ANI, Bhumi Pednekar stated that Raksha Bandhan signifies protecting loved ones. She expressed her disbelief in the notion that the festival is exclusive to siblings, explaining that she and her family exchange rakhis with each other. She concluded by saying that Raksha Bandhan is essentially about appreciating those one loves.

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar is set to take on a challenging new role as a police officer in her upcoming series, 'Daldal'.
