Indian singer and television personality Rahul Vaidya, along with his parents Krushna and Geeta Vaidya, has recently sold two residential apartments in Oshiwara, Mumbai, for a combined value of Rs. 5 crore, according to property registration documents accessed on the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) Maharashtra website. The transactions were finalized and registered in April 2025, as confirmed by property platform Square Yards.
The sold apartments are located in Samartha Aangan, a well-established residential project in Oshiwara — a bustling area in western Mumbai popular for its proximity to Lokhandwala Complex, accessibility via major roads and metro connectivity, and vibrant urban lifestyle. The locality is also home to several Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Sunny Leone, and Sara Ali Khan, further enhancing its premium appeal.
The first apartment spans 102.41 square meters (~1,102.38 sq. ft.), and was sold for Rs. 3 crore. The stamp duty paid for the transaction amounted to Rs. 18 lakh, with an additional Rs. 30,000 in registration charges. Originally, this unit was purchased by the Vaidya family in May 2008 for Rs. 1.01 crore.
The second apartment, also in the same complex, measures 69.05 square meters (~743.28 sq. ft.) and was sold for Rs. 2 crore. The transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 12 lakh, and Rs. 30,000 in registration charges. This unit, too, was acquired in May 2008, at a price of Rs. 68.3 lakh.
Rahul Vaidya gained nationwide recognition as the second runner-up in Indian Idol Season 1. Over the years, he has made a significant mark with hit songs, including tracks from his debut album Tera Intezar, and contributions to Bollywood soundtracks. He also won Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and Music Ka Maha Muqqabla, and emerged as the runner-up in Bigg Boss 14. With a loyal fanbase and numerous accolades, including an ITA Award, Rahul continues to be a prominent figure in the Indian music and television scene.
