Singer Inaam Ul Haq dedicates Karwaan earnings to charity after Radhika Yadav's tragic death: Won't keep a single rupee

Independent singer Inaam Ul Haq, who featured alongside tennis player Radhika Yadav in the music video Karwaan, has spoken out in the wake of her tragic death. The 25-year-old was allegedly shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their home in Gurugram on July 10. The incident shocked the nation, and speculations quickly surfaced that the motive behind the murder was linked to the Karwaan video.

Inaam Ul Haq, who previously denied that the music video had anything to do with the incident, took to Instagram to respond to the backlash and clarify his stance.

“Many people are saying that I’m gaining fame because of what happened to Radhika. That my song Karwaan is trending, and I’ll earn from it,” he wrote in his emotional statement.

The video, which had been released a year ago under the LLF Records label and produced by Zeeshan Ahmad, saw a surge in views following the incident. But Inaam has vowed not to benefit from this tragedy in any way.

“Whatever I receive from Karwaan – whether monthly royalties or revenue, I won't keep a single rupee,” he stated firmly.

The singer added that all earnings from the song would be donated to charity. “Every payment will go towards helping the poor, feeding the hungry, supporting the helpless, and doing something meaningful,” he said, emphasizing that this was a heartfelt decision, not a publicity stunt.

“If even one sincere prayer comes from someone I’ve helped, and it brings peace to her soul, that’s more than enough for me,” he wrote. “This isn’t about numbers. Not about fame. Just a small gesture in someone’s memory.”

Inaam also took the opportunity to defend his reputation. “I’ve always worked with honesty and respect. I never wanted attention this way. And I never will. Rest in peace, Radhika. You’ll always be remembered,” he concluded.

Earlier, Inaam had clarified that he had not been in contact with Radhika after the shoot and had no involvement in the tragic events that followed.
