Shefali Jariwala passed away on Friday, June 27, at her residence in Mumbai’s Oshiwara at the age of 42. The initial reports suggested that she died of cardiac arrest, but the exact cause of her death is yet to be officially revealed.
However, the new reports have suggested that she took an anti-ageing injection while fasting, which could have led to her death.
According to The Indian Express, a source close to the police said, “Shefali took her regular pills that evening. She had also taken an anti-ageing injection in the afternoon, something she had been using for the past few years under medical supervision. Her blood pressure dropped later at night, and she started shivering.”
The source further revealed that Shefali had been fasting the entire day for a puja at home, adding, “Taking medication on an empty stomach may have worsened her condition.”
Meanwhile, the eyewitnesses informed the outlet that Parag Tyagi arrived home at around 10:30 pm. Soon after, Shefali started feeling unwell and was taken to the hospital. The police were informed around 1 am, and her body was later sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The police officials have registered an accidental death report and have reportedly questioned at least eight people, including her husband, domestic staff, and the building’s security guard, as part of their investigation.
Shefali Jariwala, who was known for her popular music video Kaanta Laga, was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, Parag Tyagi, on Friday night, but the doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival.
