Security tightens around Salman Khan's Galaxy apartment

The city of Mumbai was shaken last week by the shocking murder of senior politician Baba Siddique, who was shot dead on October 12, allegedly by the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. As the police continue their investigation, early reports suggest that Baba Siddique was targeted due to his close ties with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has long been on the gang's radar.

In the wake of the tragedy, the area around Salman Khan's residence, Galaxy apartment, has become almost unrecognizable, taking on a desolate and highly secure appearance. Bystanders are now prohibited from stopping nearby, even briefly, to take selfies or videos. The entire vicinity has been cordoned off, turning it into a virtual fortress. Media personnel have been barred from filming in the area, although CCTV cameras facing the street continue to monitor activity outside the apartment.

The walkway outside Galaxy Apartment is now under tight surveillance, with male and female police constables standing guard. Workers and laborers from the neighborhood, who are usually seen bustling around, now linger at a distance, with their mobile phones out, hoping to catch a glimpse of Salman Khan from afar.

In response to the heightened threat, Salman Khan's security has been significantly boosted to Y+ category. According to India Today, his security detail now includes police escort vehicles that will accompany him whenever he leaves his residence. Additionally, a specially trained constable, proficient in handling various weapons, has been assigned to provide extra protection.
