The latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which aired on Saturday, June 28, featured the star-studded cast of the upcoming film Metro... In Dino. The episode was filled with laughter, candid moments, and some hilarious behind-the-scenes stories from the film’s shoot.
The ensemble cast included director Anurag Basu and actors Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Anupam Kher. During the episode, as the conversation turned towards their filming experience, Kapil Sharma shared a funny anecdote. He said that Aditya had disclosed during the 2025 film Ludo's promotion that director Anurag Basu frequently gives the actors dialogue minutes before the scene is filmed.
Jokingly, Kapil quipped to Basu, “Aapke paas Ludo ke baad paanch saal the, aap araam se Metro... In Dino ka script likh sakte the (You had five years after Ludo, you could have easily written the script of Metro... In Dino)."
He then turned to Aditya and asked if the situation had improved now. Aditya, laughing, responded, “Nhi koi change nhi hai (no no, there is absolutely no change).” Not missing a beat, Kapil teased Anurag further with, “Kyun dada, printer slow hai aapka? (Why dada is your printer slow)"
Joining the fun, Pankaj Tripathi jumped in to clarify that since all the actors are aware of what scene will be shot the next day, they arrive well-prepared regardless. Aditya chimed in again, adding, “As an actor, bohot acha hai kyunki aap pe koi pressure hai hi nahi. Because you don't know what you are doing.”
The camaraderie and comic timing among the cast made the episode thoroughly entertaining, with everyone sharing their own funny anecdotes and enjoying hearty laughs.
In another light-hearted moment, Kapil turned his attention to Sara Ali Khan and teased her about her frequent trips to the mountains. He joked, “Aapne koi mannat maang rakhi hai ki acha ladka milega toh hi neeche aaungi pahad se? (Have you made a vow that you'll only come down from the mountains if you find a good guy). To which Sara, not one to be outdone, gave a sharp and witty reply, “Agar isse acha ladka mil jana tha toh kabki line lag jaati (If that worked then there would already have been a long queue of good guys)."
The episode was a delightful mix of wit, charm, and behind-the-scenes banter—truly a treat for fans of both the show and the film. The Great Indian Kapil Show's new episodes premiere on Netflix every Saturday.
