Sanjay Dutt on UK visa rejection: Waise bhi kaun jaayega UK but they have done wrong

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been in the news after facing a visa rejection from the United Kingdom, leading to his removal from the much-anticipated sequel, Son of Sardaar 2. The actor, known for his iconic roles in films such as Munna Bhai MBBS and Vaastav, has finally broken his silence on the matter, expressing his displeasure and confusion over the UK government's decision.

Sanjay Dutt, who was scheduled to play a significant role in Son of Sardaar 2, has called out the UK government for its abrupt decision to cancel his visa after initially approving it.

In an interview with Bombay Times, the actor did not hold back his criticism. He stated, "I know one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing. They gave me the Visa (initially). Waha (in the United Kingdom) sab payment hogaye the (All payment was done in the UK). Everything was ready. Then a month later you are cancelling my Visa! I gave you (the UK government) all the papers and everything (required). Why did you give me the Visa (in the first place)? You shouldn’t have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the laws?"

This decision has raised many questions, especially considering that all the necessary documentation and payments were completed on time. The actor’s frustration is palpable as he questions the rationale behind issuing a visa only to revoke it after everything was set in motion.

Despite being visibly upset by the situation, Sanjay Dutt maintains that he isn’t missing out on anything significant. In his words, “Waise bhi (Anyway) who is going to UK? There are so many riots happening there. Even the Indian government has issued a statement that you should not visit UK. (So), I am not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong. They need to rectify this. I am a law-abiding citizen. I go according to the law, and I respect every country’s law.”

His comments highlight not only his disappointment but also his compliance with legal norms. Dutt has always portrayed himself as a law-abiding citizen, a sentiment that is now echoed in his statements regarding this incident.

Due to this unforeseen complication, Sanjay Dutt has been replaced in Son of Sardaar 2 by actor Ravi Kishan. However, upon learning that his visa request had been rejected, the production team had to quickly find a replacement, landing on Ravi Kishan.
