Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back in Mumbai after wrapping up a crucial schedule of his upcoming patriotic drama Battle of Galwan in Ladakh. The actor, who steps into the role of real-life hero Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, surprised fans at the airport with a fresh, clean-shaven look that immediately set social media abuzz.

Spotted exiting Mumbai airport late Wednesday evening, Salman kept it casual in a black tee and cap while flashing his new look.

Known for his signature stubble and rugged charm, the superstar’s clean-shaven style caught fans off guard, with many calling it one of his most striking appearances in recent years.

Salman briefly acknowledged the paparazzi before quickly heading to his car, but not before giving a glimpse of the transformation that’s become part of his preparation for the role.

The Ladakh schedule has been described as one of the most demanding phases of Battle of Galwan. According to industry buzz, the unit focused heavily on shooting the film’s climax, which combines high-octane battle sequences with an emotionally charged payoff.

A source close to the production explained, “The climax of Battle of Galwan isn’t just about action, it’s about emotional truth. The team braved sub-zero conditions and unpredictable weather to make sure the intensity of the moment is captured with complete authenticity.”

Set against the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, the film chronicles the bravery and sacrifice of Colonel Santosh Babu and his troops. Salman’s portrayal of the decorated officer is being positioned as one of his most patriotic roles to date, marking a departure from his typical commercial entertainers.

Even as filming continues, Salman is preparing to return to television as well. After Farah Khan temporarily filled in as host for Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman is expected to resume his duties soon. With Battle of Galwan already commanding strong attention and his television comeback lined up, fans have plenty to look forward to from the superstar in the coming weeks.
