Retro, Suriya 45 and more: Lineup of Suriya Shivakumar’s next

It is known that Suriya is playing a pivotal role in RJ Balaji directorial which has Trisha as the female lead.

Actor Suriya Sivakumar is all set for the release of his upcoming film Retro directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film has Pooja Hegde as a leading lady and the promotional content of the film which has been released till date is already making waves on the internet.

The Kanima song, which was released a few days ago has taken the Internet by storm with many Making reels on the viral hook step. While there are huge expectations on this film fans of Suriya cannot wait to see what the actor has lined up for future.

It is known that Suriya is playing a pivotal role in RJ Balaji directorial which has Trisha as the female lead. The film is tentatively titled #Suriya45 and is said to be made with a social message.

Apart from these two, the National Award-winning actor has a film with Vetrimaaran titled Vaadivaasal. Though the film should have gone on floors long ago, there have been multiple delays due to the issues the film faced.

Vetrimaaran has spent a lot of time on this project already and the pre-production has been happening for quite a long time.

The latest information from producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu is that Vaadivaasal makers are aiming to bring the film to theatres during Summer 2026. Based on the other biggies releasing in summer next year, either May or June could be the tentative release.

The shooting will kickstart this year, and Suriya has already allocated his call sheets to this flick. The musical sessions are underway, and GV Prakash Kumar already finished recording a song. Vaadivaasal is based on Tamil Nadu's most celebrated traditional sport, Jallikattu.

Meanwhile, all we can do is to wait for release of Retro.
