Rumours linking celebrated music composer and playback singer Anirudh Ravichander with Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran have been making the rounds on social media, sparking widespread curiosity. The speculation picked up pace after a Reddit post claimed that the two were in a serious relationship and might even be heading towards marriage.

The viral post suggested, “It is being speculated that music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Kavya Maran, daughter of Sun TV’s Kalanithi Maran and owner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL team, are in a relationship. Reports suggest that superstar Rajinikanth has personally spoken to Kalanithi Maran about their relationship, leading to expectations that the couple may tie the knot soon.”

Adding to the chatter, a report by Kaumudi Online claimed that Anirudh and Kavya began dating in 2024. Anirudh is currently 34 years old, while Kavya is 32. Sightings of the duo dining together at a restaurant were also cited as fuel for the ongoing speculation.

However, the rumours took a sharp turn after Anirudh Ravichander himself addressed the buzz directly on social media. Responding to wedding rumours, the composer wrote, “Marriage ah? lol.. Chill out guys 😃 pls stop spreading rumours 🙏🏻.” With this statement, Anirudh firmly shut down speculation around an impending wedding and indicated that reports about marriage plans were unfounded.

Despite his clarification, the discussion around the alleged relationship continues online, largely due to the public prominence of both individuals. Anirudh comes from a distinguished artistic lineage. He is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra and classical dancer Lakshmi, the nephew of Latha Rajinikanth, and the great-grandson of filmmaker K Subramanyam.
