Akshaye Khanna is receiving newfound fame with his stellar performance as Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. Fans, critics and celebrities are praising Akshaye for his strong performance and the viral dance move.
However, a video of Akshaye is now resurfacing in which he claimed that he doesn’t think that he is a very good actor.
In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal, Akshaye admitted, “Strangely enough, I've never believed that I'm a very good actor at all. I'm competent. You know, if you want to really stretch it, then maybe good. Not anything further than that.”
Akshaye’s comment left the journalist baffled, forcing her to question his doubts. The actor responded, “Because that's what I believe. I'm comparing myself with the very best in the world, not only in our own country, and I don't think that my level of acting even comes close. I try my best to make a shot look as natural as possible.”
However, the actor was asked about his acting method, whether he plans before his performance, to which he claimed that it came naturally.
Akshaye said, “I hear about actors who talk about how they have to really work hard. I don't even understand that. I know this may sound horrible or arrogant or, you know, whatever. But I don't really have to work too hard to do what I do know. It's not something that I have to strain myself to get. It just comes very naturally to me.”
