Actor R. Madhavan recently took to social media to alert his fans about a fake account impersonating him online. The actor issued a public warning after discovering that an individual had been falsely claiming to represent him and communicate with people on his behalf.

Sharing the update through his official Instagram handle, Madhavan informed followers that the person running the account has no connection with him or his team. The actor urged fans to stay vigilant and avoid interacting with the fraudulent profile.

In his post, Madhavan clearly addressed the situation and warned fans about the impersonator. He wrote, “FRAUD ALERT… THIS PERSON IS NOT CONNECTED TO ME OR MY TEAM IN ANY WAY. THEY CLAIM TO PRESENT ME AND SPEAK TO PEOPLE ON THE I SOCIAL MEDIA ON MY BEHALF. THIS IS TOTALLY A FRAUD ACCOUNT KINDLY BE AWARE... NO other account either represents me nor speaks on my behalf on Instagram or any social media. PLS NOTE AND BE AWARE.. Appropriate steps are being taken to hold this person accountable.. @rohanmyra2 @instagram."

To ensure his followers are not misled, the actor also shared a screenshot of the suspicious account in the same post. Madhavan added that the matter is being taken seriously and that necessary actions are underway to identify the person behind the fake profile and hold them responsible.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Madhavan was last seen portraying IB director Ajay Sanyal in the blockbuster Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar.

During an earlier interview, the actor had spoken about the intense atmosphere on the film’s set, revealing that the shoot often felt emotionally heavy. According to him, the cast and crew sometimes felt as if they were reliving historical events rather than simply performing scenes for a movie. Even experienced actors found it challenging to detach themselves from the emotional weight of the story.

Madhavan also recalled a particularly striking moment that occurred after a scene was completed. Actors Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal had just finished performing a sequence portraying characters celebrating the attack, and the emotional impact of the moment lingered even after the director called “cut.”

Looking ahead, the actor will soon return to the screen in the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
