Mirai OTT release: Teja Sajja and Shriya Saran starrer fantasy drama likely to release on JioHotstar; here is what we know

Telugu film Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and Shriya Saran, recently hit the theatres on September 12 and performed descent at the box office. After its theatrical run of mor e than two weeks, fans are now eager to know when the film will premiere on OTT platforms.

Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, Mirai is an action-adventure film that blends mythology with modern superhero storytelling. Teja Sajja plays Vedha, a character on a quest to attain Mirai, a divine staff linked to Lord Rama’s journey in the Treta Yuga.

Speaking of Mirai's OTT release, according to Telugu123 and Cinema Express, the fantasy-drama film will reportedly be available to stream on JioHotstar. Although the makers have not confirmed the release date of its OTT release.

The story draws inspiration from Ashokan mythology. Manchu Manoj plays the antagonist, Black Sword, who is on a mission to collect nine sacred books that could make him invincible. Shriya Saran plays Vedha’s mother, while Jayaram and Jagapathi Babu take on key roles. The film promises grand visuals, with Karthik Ghattamaneni also handling cinematography, and music composed by Gowra Hari.

Produced as a pan-Indian release, Mirai was released in 2D and 3D across eight languages and clashed at the box office with Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ horror-thriller Kishkindhapuri.

Moneycontrol's review of Mirai read as, "The movie's best parts include its interesting mythological premise, the strong performances by Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, and Karthik Gattamneni's use of amazing visual storytelling to make the action come to life. Gowra Hari's pulsing background music adds to the excitement."

Apart from Teja Sajja, the film also stars Manchu Manoj,Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Ritika Nayak.
