Radhikka Madan recalls receiving Amitabh Bachchan’s appreciation letter for Angrezi Medium, says, “That letter is now framed in my house”

Radhikka Madan, who kicked off her acting career with the TV serial Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, has eventually paved her way into Bollywood. The actress has delivered powerful roles in movies like Shiddat, Pataakha, and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, among others.

She has delivered impressive roles in several films, showcasing her versatility and talent. She notably received wide appreciation from the critics and the audiences alike for her role in Angrezi Medium.

However, the actress received a surprise appreciation from the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. The actress has recently recalled the special moment when Amitabh Bachchan sent her a note and a bouquet of flowers.

In a recent interview, Radhikka recalled the moment and reflected on the appreciation letter. She recalled, “It was during the lockdown. I remember we were all double-masked, sitting at home, scared to even step out. One day, someone knocked on my door with a bouquet and a letter."

The actress added, "A lady said, ‘I’m coming from Amitabh Sir’s house.’ Honestly, I didn’t know how to react at that moment. I just held the letter for about 15 minutes, completely blank.”

She added, “It took me that long to even process what had just happened. Then the emotions kicked in, happy tears, disbelief. And when I actually got a call from him, I was shocked. I had no idea how he even got my number. He’s such a legend, and yet he went out of his way to reach out to someone like me, someone just starting out. That’s what makes him who he is - his humility, his kindness, and the way he empowers others.”

She further noted, “It was honestly the best day of my life, just to speak to him. I’d only ever heard his voice on Kaun Banega Crorepati. So to hear that same voice on my own phone, and to read that letter was surreal.”

The actress continued, “That letter is now framed in my house. The moment you enter, it’s the first thing you’ll see - a big frame with his letter in it. It was so encouraging, so overwhelming, and truly empowering. That day, I felt like maybe I’m on the right path. And with that honesty and intention, I just want to keep working and moving forward.”

The actress previously shared the photo of the letter on her Instagram. The letter reads, “This is Amitabh Bachchan, and I write to you with the greatest of admiration for your work in ‘Angrezi Medium’. I saw the film yesterday, and just could not resist writing to you. What a mature and balanced performance you have given. Prosperity & all success to you.”

On the work front, the actress was last seen in Sarfira alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. She is all set to star in Suresh Triveni’s directorial film Subedaar alongside Anil Kapoor.
