Pushpa 3 in the making? Producer confirms 'there's a solid lead' for the franchise

The anticipation for Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun has reached fever pitch, with the film set to release on December 5 in multiple languages. Recently, at a press conference held in Hyderabad, the film’s producer, Ravi Shankar, delighted fans by hinting at the possibility of a Pushpa 3 in the works.

When asked about a third installment in the series, Ravi Shankar kept fans guessing by saying, “If you all make the film a huge hit, we’d give you Pushpa 3.” As he was pressed further, he added with confidence, “There’s a solid lead for Pushpa 3. Definitely, it’s happening.” This response from the producer was enough to send the fanbase into a frenzy, with many already envisioning what the future might hold for Pushparaj.

Hints about Pushpa 3 aren't entirely new. Earlier this year, Allu Arjun himself attended the Berlin Film Festival and, in an interview with Variety, confirmed that a third part was indeed in the cards. Speaking on the potential of building a Pushpa franchise, Allu Arjun said, “You can definitely expect part three. We do want to make it a franchise, and we have exciting ideas for the lineup.”

In the same interview, he also offered insight into the evolution of his character in Pushpa 2. Allu Arjun mentioned that this upcoming installment would showcase a “very different shade of Pushpa,” one distinct from the journey fans experienced in Pushpa 1. He teased that audiences would see a broader spectrum of the character, with greater depth and grit.

The announcement of Pushpa 2 moving its release up by a day to December 5 has only added to the excitement. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 boasts a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, with technical contributions from cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, editor Naveen Nooli, and music composer Devi Sri Prasad.

As the countdown to December 5 begins, Pushpa fans are eagerly awaiting what could be the next big blockbuster.
