Undekhi 3, Korean drama The Atypical Family, Malayalam film Aavesham and more films and series to watch on OTT this weekend

OTT releases to watch this weekend, from 'Undekhi' Season 3 on SonyLIV to the cast of 'Heeramandi' coming to 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' on Netflix and Fahadh Faasil as rowdy Ranga in 'Aavesham' on Amazon Prime Video.

May 11, 2024 / 16:05 IST
'Heeramandi' actors Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sajeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal Mehta are coming to 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', streaming on Netflix.

Whether you thought 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' was slow and historically inaccurate or spectacular and worth-a-watch, a conversation between Kapil Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta and Richa Chadha should be entertaining and perhaps even informative. The dream team are coming together on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' this Saturday (May 11) at 8pm.

Also coming to OTT this weekend are the third and fourth episodes in the limited Korean drama series 'The Atypical Family'. With a star-studded cast, the series is about a family that can't use their superpowers because of health conditions like depression, obesity and insomnia. The series started out slow, but it's picking up pace now. Will Bok Gwi-ju (Jang Ki-Yong) really fall in love with Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee)? Will Bok Dong-hee (Claudia Kim) lose weight and fly again? Will Bok Ina (Park So-yi) find her superpower and her confidence? Episodes 3 and 4 of 12 drop on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

If true crime and satire are your jam, then watch Bodkin on Netflix. Michelle and Barack Obama are executive producers on the show based in Ireland. Expect a satirical takedown of stereotypes about rural Ireland and its 'mystique' as well as the hype around true crime podcasts versus good-old investigative journalism.

If you are in the mood for something light, that requires little to no engagement of the brain cells, see 'Bride of the Mother' starring Brooke Shields. It's streaming on Netflix.

With so much to watch and so little time, here's a quick list to help you earmark your shows and films to binge on the weekend of May 10-12.
