Naga Chaitanya calls Sobhita a Vizag girl

Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya, who is excited about the release of his upcoming film Thandel alongside Sai Pallavi, finally opened up about his relationship with actress Sobhita Dhulipala.

During the trailer launch event in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, he humorously referred to her as a "Vizag ammayi" which translates to Vizag girl in english.

Naga shared how his household is now "ruled" by the charm and influence of Vizag. Chaitanya added a light-hearted note about how his connection to the city has grown stronger through his marriage, making it an integral part of his life. Fans were delighted by his candid and playful response, which added a personal touch to the event.

In a video shared online by a paparazzo, Naga Chaitanya said, "Vizag is so close to my heart that I fell in love with a Vizag girl and married her. Now, there's a piece of Vizag in my home too. Even in my household, the ruling party is Vizag. So, brothers, I have a small request—Thandel should rock Vizag's box office; otherwise, I'll lose my honour at home. Please"

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have been in a relationship since 2022. The couple took a significant step in their journey together when they got engaged on August 8, 2024, in a private ceremony in Hyderabad. Their engagement was followed by a lavish wedding in December at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondetti stars Sai Pallavi alongside Naga Chaitanya, is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025.
