A night of high-octane music and celebration turned chaotic when American rapper Travis Scott performed live in Delhi on Saturday night, as part of his much-hyped India tour. The Grammy-nominated artist was performing at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium when overenthusiastic fans took things a bit too far forcing security to step in and restore order.
During one segment of his set, Travis decided to engage more closely with his Indian fans by stepping off the main stage and walking towards the front barricade to greet the audience. However, as soon as he reached the front row, the crowd surged forward. Several excited fans reportedly tried to grab and pull him into the audience, leading to a brief moment of chaos.

Security personnel stationed around the stage acted swiftly and formed a protective circle around the rapper to guide him back toward the platform. Despite the commotion, Travis Scott remained unharmed and continued his performance without incident.
Multiple clips from the concert have since gone viral on social media, showing the crowd’s overwhelming enthusiasm. In some videos, fans can be seen jumping over barricades in an attempt to get closer to the rapper, while others shouted and waved their phones as Scott performed hits like Sicko Mode and Goosebumps.
Concertgoers who were present at the scene described the moment as “intense but thrilling.” They praised the rapper for keeping his cool throughout the ordeal. One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Travis didn’t stop the show even for a second. The man is a performer through and through.”
The rapper's India debut also faced backlash for empty seats, dead crowd, and 4-hour wait. Despite being touted as a “sold-out” event at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, social media was flooded with videos showing empty seats, an unresponsive crowd, and a long 4-hour wait before the artist took the stage.
Travis Scott's first-ever India concert was billed as a historic night for hip-hop fans. However, concertgoers described the atmosphere as “flat” and “disappointing.”
