As the weekend progresses, clearer forecasts suggest the film could reach $70 million over three days and $120 million over five days. The franchise’s appeal remains high, with audiences awarding it an A CinemaScore, matching the ratings of the first two films and slightly surpassing the A- of 'Despicable Me 3'. This marks the fifth A grade for the Despicable Me/Minions series.

According to RelishMix, a social media analytics firm, 'Despicable Me 4' has a robust presence across platforms like TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, and Instagram, with a combined reach of 641.5 million. This figure is 26% higher than comparable family animated films, though it falls short of the 1.6 billion reach of 'Despicable Me 3' in 2017 and the 668.4 million of 'Minions: The Rise of Gru'. Key cast members such as Sofia Vergara (58.6 million followers), Joey King (37.8 million), Miranda Cosgrove (30.3 million), and Stephen Colbert (29.5 million) significantly contribute to this online buzz.
