'Shah Rukh Khan is mad at media for what they did with Aryan Khan,' reveals paparazzo who received a call from King Khan himself

Aryan Khan was detained in connection with a drug bust on the Cordelia cruise ship on October 2, 2021, and remained in custody for 22 days.

Apart from his stellar acting, Shah Rukh Khan is known for his devotion to his family. He has often expressed affection for his wife Gauri and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. Recently, paparazzo Varinder Chawla shed light on why King Khan avoids the media and photographers, revealing that Shah Rukh Khan has been evading being photographed due to anger towards the media following his son Aryan Khan's arrest in 2021.

During an interview with Hindi Rush, Varinder Chawla recounted an incident when he received a call from Shah Rukh Khan. He explained that during the release of 'Pathaan' in 2023, his team spotted the actor. However, Chawla chose not to use the footage as it felt intrusive. Sensing Khan's displeasure, Chawla contacted the actor's PR team to inform them about the video and assured them it wouldn't be used, apologising for any intrusion on their privacy.

Chawla added that soon after his call, he received a call from SRK’s manager, who thanked him and informed him that King Khan wanted to speak with him. He described the experience as surreal, going from chasing Shah Rukh's car for a glimpse to receiving a personal call from him.

The paparazzo elaborated on his conversation with Shah Rukh Khan, stating, “We spoke for over five minutes. After speaking to him, I realised his love for his children, especially his son Aryan Khan. As a parent myself, I understand the pain of hearing negative things about one's children. He was deeply saddened and upset back then, and we didn’t take that into account. We just kept complaining that SRK doesn’t give us photos and always hides his face. He is mad at the media for what they did with his son.”
