Ranveer Singh to bulk up for his next project, ‘He needs to be 15kg heavier’

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh, who will soon welcome his first child with wife Deepika Padukone, is gearing up for his next project. The actor, known for immersing himself in his roles, will be playing a character who is heavier and bulkier for which he will have to go through a physical transformation.

While fans eagerly wait for an official confirmation from Ranveer’s side, writer Shobhaa De posted an update on her social media account.

Shobhaa ran into Ranveer Singh at a cafe in Alibaug, where the two shared a meal. The write photographed the sweet moment and posted it on her Instagram. In one picture, Singh is seen posing with Shobhaa and her friend and in another he is captured with a plate of French fries.

Shobhaa wrote, “Unexpected encounter at our favourite cafe in Alibagh. Selfie King @ranveersingh enjoying much needed "me time" before he takes up daddy duties....and starts his next film. Oh....the fries were mine. But he said he is focusing on carbs himself. He needs to be 15kg heavier for his latest project. Charming, natural and unfailingly polite as always. Glad to have him as a neighbour in Alibagh.”

The actor was last seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.’

The official desperation of the film reads - “Flamboyant Punjabi Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and intellectual Bengali journalist Rani (Alia Bhatt) fall in love despite their differences. After facing family opposition, they decide to live with each other's relatives for three months before getting married.”
