Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was reportedly going to make her South debut soon, and the 'Crew' actress had also hinted at the same in many of her interviews.
But now there are reports that Khan's talks with the makers of 'Toxic', which has Yash in the lead, have failed. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Kareena and Yash's dates didn't match. The actors' teams tried to sort the dates but couldn't, and now Kareena has been forced to opt out of the movie, which is a pan-India release.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was going to play the role of Yash's sister in the film 'Toxic'. The film's storyline focused on the strong bond between siblings.
A source told Pinkvilla: “Kareena Kapoor’s dates do not align with the dates of Yash for Toxic. After making efforts to set the calendar right, the makers have amicably parted ways."
The film also stars Kiara Advani in the lead and will be romancing Yash in 'Toxic'.
After Kareena's exit, the makers are looking for another top actress to play the role, as she is a very crucial character for the movie.
Yash didn't limit himself with his acting prowess, and now, by breaking the shackles, he has become a producer with his own banner, "Monster Mind Creations." Being a producer, he backs two of the biggest films of 2025, 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups' in association with KVN Productions and Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'.
Both of these films had already created anticipation among the audiences for their larger-than-life concepts. Yash's involvement is not only as a creative producer; he is also supervising the entire production process. His maiden venture, "Toxic," underscores his keen understanding of the filmmaking process beyond just acting. As a producer, he has demonstrated a keen eye for impeccable storytelling and a willingness to take risks on this ambitious project. By backing "Toxic," he is also fostering a culture of innovation in Indian cinema.
'Toxic' is directed by National Award winner Geethu Mohandas. The film's shoot is currently underway and is most likely to be released in April 2025.
