Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan', directed by Amit Sharma, has managed to sell 16,178 tickets in the domestic market while Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan clocked 50,000 in pre-release ticket sale. Going by these figures, both the movies haven't set huge records seeing as it is a big festival break this Eid.

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan '' is going to hit screens tomorrow (April 11) on Eid. The movie, which is arriving a day prior to its original release date of April 12, has sold around 50,000 tickets in advance booking.

Also releasing on Eid is Ajay Devgn starrer sports biopic "Maidaan", and the two movies are set for a big clash at the box office.

Since it is a holiday on the occasion of Eid al Fitr, advance bookings have also picked up for the two movies. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Akshay and Tiger's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" has sold approximately 50,000 tickets.

Besides Hindi, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Ajay Devgn's "Maidaan" directed by debutante Amit Sharma, has managed to sell 16,178 tickets in the domestic market including paid previews.

Going by these figures, both the movies haven't set huge records seeing as it is a big festival break.

Reports suggest that the movies might are expected to earn decent on their opening days.

Post the release of "Maidaan '' and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan '' there is no other release in this month of April. This is Akshay and Tiger's first release of the year whereas Ajay was seen in "Shaitaan: with Jyotika and Madhavan, which had a decent run at the box office.

"Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and also stars Alaya F, Manushi Chhillar along with Prithviraj Sukumar as the antagonist. Only yesterday both the film's lead actors had announced the new release dates of the movie.

"Maidaan" had Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in important roles. "Maidaan" was earlier slated to release on April 10 but the makers delayed it to coincide with Eid which is falling on Thursday.
