On Tueday, there were reports that Telugu actor Manchu Manoj had been arrested. Addressing rumors about his alleged detention, actor Manchu Manoj clarified that he had willingly gone to the police station and was not taken into custody.

In a video statement, he voiced his frustration over the ongoing challenges he has faced while advocating for student welfare at Mohan Babu University and supporting local vendors near the campus.

Sharing his concerns, Manoj expressed deep distress over the situation, emphasizing his commitment to standing up for those in need. "I have endured immense pain, but I will not back down. I will fight till the very end," he said.

Additionally, Manoj accused the university’s bouncers of mistreating people in the surrounding areas. He expressed his frustration over the situation, asserting that rather than addressing these serious concerns, efforts were being made to tarnish his reputation through false accusations and legal battles.

Manchu Manoj disclosed that his father and others had filed more than 32 cases against him and his wife, Mounika, across various locations, including Delhi, Hyderabad, and Tirupati. Dismissing these cases as “bogus,” he firmly stated, “The truth is on my side.”

Manchu Manoj also alleged that local police were hesitant to register his complaints, suggesting there were intentional delays. He further described a concerning incident where an intelligence officer, claiming to be from the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s office, approached him.

Manoj further stated that, in his determination to resolve the issue, he went to the Bhakarapeta police station accompanied by the officer and his team. However, he noted that while he entered the station, the Sub-Inspector (SI) did not follow him inside and instead left the premises. He also said, "I spoke to the head constable, requested they summon the SI, but he did not respond. I demanded to know why they were harassing me and those around me."

Manoj emphasized that the entire incident was captured on the police station’s CCTV and encouraged the media to review the footage for accuracy. He refuted the misleading reports circulating about the situation, clarifying that he was not arrested but had merely visited the police station. He further stated that he now intends to meet the Superintendent of Police (SP) to bring attention to what he described as harassment.
