Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam hit the theatres with mixed reviews from the audience. The film faced a delay but finally opened in the theatres and performed well on its first day of release.
According to a trade website, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam earned Rs 22 crore net in India on its first day of release. The film registered an overall occupancy of 56.93% in Telugu and 10.16% in Hindi.
Akhanda 2 made a spectacular collection of approximately Rs. 22 crore on its first day of release, Friday. The entire revenue for the movie comes to almost Rs. 30 crore if the collection from the paid previews is taken into account. This impressive beginning makes it quite evident that the movie is getting a lot of support from viewers.
Kapil Sharma's film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 also opened in theatres on the same day. The two movies' box office receipts, however, differed significantly. Akhanda 2 has made more than 12 times as much as Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which has only made Rs 1.75 crore on its first day.
Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Akhanda 2 stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Samyuktha Menon in lead roles. The film features an ensemble cast including Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, Saswata Chatterjee, and P. Sai Kumar.
