Maharashtra government introduces midnight shows for Dhurandhar amidst high demand: Report

As Dhurandhar continues to dominate at the box office, having already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, post-midnight shows are now being introduced across Maharashtra in response to overwhelming public demand.

As per Bollywood Hungama, a spike in advance bookings for both multiplexes and single screens led to the decision to add post-midnight shows.

The action highlights the high level of pre-release excitement and word-of-mouth that Dhurandhar has successfully created among viewers. Due to similarly high reservations and persistent requests from moviegoers keen to see the movie as soon as possible, Pune has also joined the festivities, with post-midnight shows beginning at 12:20 am today.

Theatres in Ahmedabad have also started to add late-night screenings, following the same pattern.

However, this is not the first time that Dhurandhar’s post-midnight shows have been added. The same occurred last weekend, during the film’s opening weekend, reflecting its exceptional demand.

Dhurandhar made an estimated Rs 239.75 crore net in India during its first eight days at the box office. Trade analysts are closely monitoring the movie's ninth-day box office performance as it continues to maintain impressive occupancy and collections.

Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar boasts an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The film is produced under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, further solidifying its position as one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.
