BTS’ J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok gave a glimpse into his family life. He stepped up as a dutiful younger brother and helper during his family’s Chuseok preparations.
His younger sister Jung Ji‑woo uploaded a new vlog to her YouTube channel titled “New Sous-chef Here: Holiday of Running, Eating and Sleeping”. In the video, Jiwoo explains she was away from home for much of the festivities, and during that time J-Hope stepped in to help his mother with the Chuseok food preparations.
What fans found especially adorable was a scene where J-Hope, in the role of the youngest family member showing off his aegyo, followed his father’s lead while performing ancestral rites. As their dad executed each bow and gesture, J-Hope mirrored them so precisely that his sister and mother burst into laughter and labeled him the “perfect puppet.”
Jiwoo’s vlog shows her being proud and amused, acting almost as cheerleader to the brother she missed at home. Meanwhile their mother looks on with a warm smile as both children participate in traditions that mark the harvest festival and honour ancestors.
Fans pointed out that these unscripted family moments shine through more genuinely than any public appearance.
As Jiwoo wraps up the vlog, she acknowledges how much the family bond means, especially when a member is away, and how small gestures like these keep the connection alive.
J-Hope has completed his mandatory military service this year. The septet has reunited and has been busy working on a new album under HYBE over the past few months. This upcoming release is especially exciting for fans, as it will be BTS’s first group album in six years. The album is planned to come out by the end of March 2026.
