The 2025 MAMA Awards is gearing up for one of its most ambitious performances yet. On November 26, the awards show announced the official lineup for its highly anticipated WONDER STAGE, confirming a dramatic real-world recreation of the climactic battle between HUNTR/X and Saja Boys from Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters.
This unique collaboration marks the first time the animation’s central characters will be brought to life on a live music stage—merging K-pop performance, cinematic storytelling, and fantasy world-building into one explosive showpiece.
The MAMA Awards confirmed that BABYMONSTER’s Pharita, Ahyeon, and Rora will take on the roles of the powerful demon-hunting trio HUNTR/X. Known for their intense stage charisma and sharp performance skills, the three members are expected to embody the group’s fierce, warrior-like aura.
According to the announcement, these artists will “protect fans from demons in this dramatic fusion of animation and live performance,” setting the tone for one of the most immersive stages of the ceremony.
Opposing HUNTR/X onstage will be the Saja Boys, portrayed by a standout mix of fourth-generation idols - Leehan (BOYNEXTDOOR), Wonbin (RIIZE), Shinyu (TWS), and Park Gun Wook and Han Yu Jin (ZEROBASEONE).
Together, the lineup represents some of the most talked-about rookies and fast-rising performers in K-pop today. They will recreate the film’s intense finale sequence with “perfect synchronisation,” delivering a stage designed to blur the boundaries between animation and reality.
The WONDER STAGE has long been one of MAMA’s most experimental and buzz-worthy traditions, but this year’s collaboration with Netflix sets a new precedent for cross-platform storytelling. With characters, choreography, and concept drawn directly from the film, fans can expect a high-production spectacle that celebrates both K-pop performance and multimedia world-building.
