Kiara Advani, the Bollywood star, has decided to step away from her role in the much-anticipated film Don 3 following her pregnancy announcement earlier this year. The actress had been confirmed as the female lead in Farhan Akhtar's upcoming action-packed movie, slated for production in 2025. However, with the exciting news of her pregnancy, Advani has mutually agreed with the makers of the film to part ways, opting to take a break from her career to embrace motherhood.
Sources close to the actress revealed that she is currently wrapping up her commitments for Toxic and War 2 before stepping away from the limelight for a while. Advani intends to focus on her growing family and enjoy this special phase of her life. The filmmakers have reportedly been understanding of her decision, respecting her choice to take a hiatus, and are now in search of a new leading lady for the film.
Farhan Akhtar recently confirmed that Don 3 will kick off its shoot this year, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the titular role. Vikrant Massey will play the antagonist in the high-stakes film. While Advani’s exit comes as a surprise, her fans remain supportive of her decision and eagerly await her return to the screen when the time is right.

Looking ahead, Advani is set to return to work post-maternity break. She is expected to headline Shakti Shalini, a project within Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe. Additionally, reports suggest that she has signed on for Dhoom 4, with both films scheduled to begin production in 2026.
In February 2023, Advani and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, shared their pregnancy news with fans, delighting followers with a photo of tiny socks, marking an exciting new chapter in their lives. While Advani’s exit from Don 3 has yet to be officially confirmed, the actor’s decision reflects her personal priorities, and fans can look forward to her return in future projects.
