The Great Indian Kapil Show has become a household favorite across India and beyond, redefining the comedy talk show format with its signature humor and celebrity-filled episodes.

Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the show has not only brought countless laughs to audiences but also elevated the stature of its host to legendary status in the world of Indian entertainment. Now streaming on Netflix, the show has completed two successful seasons and is currently airing its third—each more star-studded than the last.

While fans adore Kapil for his wit and comic timing, his jaw-dropping paycheck has now become the talk of the town. According to a report in Etimes,  Kapil Sharma is being paid an astounding Rs 5 crore per episode for The Great Indian Kapil Show.

With each season comprising 13 episodes, Kapil Sharma earned Rs 65 crore for the first season alone, according to the report. The second season reportedly followed the same format and payment structure, adding another Rs 65 crore to his earnings.

Now, with the third season underway and following the same pattern, Kapil is expected to rake in yet another Rs 65 crore.

In total, that brings his cumulative earnings from the Netflix series to a staggering Rs 195 crore - just Rs 5 crore shy of Rs 200 crore.

That figure is not just impressive; it’s historic, especially in the Indian television and OTT landscape, making Kapil Sharma one of the highest-paid comedians in the country.

Compared to Kapil Sharma’s monumental fee, the earnings of the other cast members are significantly lower, albeit still lucrative.

Sunil Grover, one of the most beloved performers on the show, reportedly earns around Rs 25 lakh per episode. Archana Puran Singh follows with Rs 10 lakh per episode, while Krushna Abhishek earns roughly the same. Kiku Sharda is said to receive about Rs 7 lakh per episode, according to a report in Siasat.

Season 3 kicked off with a bang as Bollywood icon Salman Khan appeared as the first guest, creating a buzz among fans. The excitement continues to build as the second episode is set to feature the ensemble cast of 'Metro In Dino', including stars like Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi.

With big laughs and even bigger pay cheques, The Great Indian Kapil Show is truly in a league of its own.
