Telugu actor Jr NTR released a video statement expressing sadness after the Devara pre-release event got cancelled in Hyderabad which was scheduled to be held on September 22.
Jr NTR released a video statement where he looked visibly disturbed and in the video, where he speaks in Telug, he expressed disappointment at the cancellation of the event.
On Saturday, a large crowd of Jr NTR fans turned up at the event arena which was beyond the capacity of the area hence forcing the organisers to cancel the event owing to security reasons.
Further in the video, Jr NTR expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident.
"I'd love to meet and spend time with you all (fans) whenever there's an opportunity. We were all excited for the event as we wanted to share our experience of working for the film and the challenges, we have gone through in the process of making the film. But due to security reasons the event has been cancelled. Once again, I reinstate that I am feeling extremely saddened. However, I also feel that blaming the organisers and Devara producers for this incident is wrong," he said in Telugu in the statement.
Jr NTR also assured his fans that they will all meet on the movie's release date in theatres on September 27.
"Firstly, I am ever grateful to the love and affection you are showing. We might have not have met today but we all are going to meet on September 27 and witness Devara. I always tell that you should always feel proud to see my films and the happiness I get out of that is beyond words. I am hoping that's what will happen on September 27. Koratala Siva has put in great efforts and made a beautiful film. I hope you all bless us," he ended his statement on this note.
Devara marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and also has Saif Ali Khan in the negative role. Jr NTR has a double role in the movie.
