The excitement around Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar The Revenge is already impossible to ignore. More than a week before its official release, the sequel has sparked a frenzy at the ticket windows, with fans rushing to secure seats for its paid preview shows.
The numbers alone tell a story of anticipation — over two lakh tickets have already been snapped up across the country.
Advance bookings opened shortly after the trailer dropped on Saturday, and the response has been swift. So far, the film has earned Rs 12.29 crore in pre-sales, selling 2,06,061 tickets across 7,510 shows nationwide.
The Hindi version is clearly leading the charge, contributing Rs 12.07 crore from 1,94,251 tickets, with an average ticket price of Rs 423. While the regional versions — Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada — account for a smaller share, they add to the sense that the film’s reach stretches well beyond one market.
Trade insiders believe the total from paid previews could climb to around ₹18.1 crore once blocked seats are factored in.
On BookMyShow alone, the film reportedly sold 87.81K tickets within just 24 hours — a sign of the strong pull Ranveer Singh continues to command.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh summed up the mood on X, writing: “ACHCHE DIN ARE BACK – 'DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE' SET TO CREATE HISTORY – RECORDS IN DANGER FROM PAID PREVIEWS ITSELF... The unprecedented craze for #DhurandharTheRevenge is there for everyone to see. What's truly remarkable is the response to the paid previews on [Wednesday] 18 March 2026 itself... The film has already started setting the tone with exceptional ticket sales, indicating that the paid preview numbers will be historic.”
He further added, “The momentum is expected to gather further steam over the next few days, and if the current trend continues, #DhurandharTheRevenge is all set to shatter ALL existing records – starting with the previews and extending into the opening weekend.”
Releasing on 19 March, the film arrives during Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi — a festive period that traditionally boosts cinema footfall. Premium pricing tiers, including tickets reportedly reaching Rs 2,500 in select multiplexes, reflect the scale of expectations.
In Dhurandhar The Revenge, Ranveer Singh reprises his role as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, facing a new adversary in Major Iqbal.
