Siddu Jonnalagadda's latest movie Jack faced a disappointing drop in collections on its second day. Despite a grand release and strong pre-release buzz, the film underperformed at the box office.
Jack starring Siddu Jonnalagadda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya was released on April 10, 2025, as a summer treat. The film is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by BVSN Prasad under the Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. The film had high expectations.
The movie had a strong team with actors like Prakash Raj, Naresh and Brahmaji playing key roles. Music was composed by Achu Rajamani, Sam CS and Suresh Bobbili. Including cast, crew and promotions, Jack was made on a budget of around Rs. 40 crores. The film earned good money through OTT, satellite and music rights. The film made Rs. 17 crores in pre-release business. To break even, the film needed Rs. 18 crores share or Rs. 36 crores gross. But the collections are too disappointing for the film right from the first show.
Jack was released on 2200 screens worldwide. Bookings brought in Rs. 1.3 crore. However, first-day collections in India were only Rs. 2.5 crores net which was a big letdown for fans. Compared to Siddu’s earlier hits like DJ Tillu (Rs. 5.3 crores) and Tillu Square (Rs. 11.7 crores), Jack opened poorly.

On Day 2, the film’s performance dropped further. The overall occupancy was just 14.57%. In cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, very few shows were full. The second day’s India net collection was only Rs. 83 lakhs.
Even though the weekend and holidays were expected to boost numbers, the drop in collections disappointed the film’s team. Now, the makers are hoping for a better performance over the weekend. Trade experts say the film’s future depends on Saturday and Sunday collections.
