Despite being a self-described foodie, Samantha Ruth Prabhu's plate now looks very different from what it used to be. Samantha discussed how she underwent significant dietary changes following her diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune disease in which the immune system targets the muscles, in an open interview with celebrity nutrition coach Ryan Fernando.
Looking back on her childhood, Samantha revealed that she used to eat junk food in excess. She claimed that because she was so thin in her teens, she was able to eat anything she wanted without gaining weight.
However, life and her health compelled her to adopt a new outlook. Her diet is anything but casual these days. "It's a little rigid," she acknowledged, adding that her current routine is based on foods that are good for her body and takes an anti-inflammatory stance.
She underlined, "There are no cheat days." It involves figuring out what doesn't work for you and getting rid of it entirely. You follow through on your commitments once you make them.
Samantha claims that she actually enjoys the food she eats in spite of the rigidity. She grinned and said, "When people hear about my diet, they usually feel sorry for me, but honestly, I love what I eat." "I no longer have a craving for doughnuts or anything similar. I wouldn't accept one even if you offered it to me.
Inside Samantha's Kitchen: Clean Eating, Consistency, and Simplicity
Food serves a purpose and is deliberate for Samantha. She revealed that she doesn't have to guess what to eat because her meals are the same every day. Superfoods and organic ingredients abound in her kitchen: cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli, cold-pressed oils, ghee, turmeric, celery, and acai berries are all mainstays. You must completely avoid gluten.
It's interesting to note that not all greens qualify. She admitted, "I don't like spinach and kale," which most people wouldn't expect from someone who values clean eating.

Health Above Hype
Samantha remarked, "My greatest flex is my biomarkers," alluding to the scientific markers of her general health. For her, being physically fit is only one aspect of good health; other factors include a balanced approach to diet, exercise, and lifestyle. Samantha describes the journey as empowering, despite the fact that it may appear restrictive to some. "It's a way of life," she said, adding that each day she gets closer to balance and healing.
