Streaming giant Netflix has officially announced that production for the fourth season of its popular teen drama Ginny & Georgia has begun.
The platform shared a video featuring lead actresses Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry, confirming that the cast and crew have started filming for the upcoming season. The caption of the post read, "Ginny & Georgia Season 4 is now in production!"
Ginny & Georgia was renewed for both its third and fourth seasons in May 2023 during the Netflix Upfronts.
In the announcement video, Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia Miller, greeted fans saying, “Hi, you guys, Brianne here. Welcome to our first day of shooting Season 4 for Ginny & Georgia.” Antonia Gentry, who portrays Georgia’s daughter Ginny, added, “It’s day one and I am so excited for you all to see what we are getting up to.”
After a long development period, production for Season 4 officially started in late September 2025, signaling that the show is moving forward. While Netflix has yet to reveal an official release date, the series is expected to return in the latter half of 2026.
The official logline for the series reads: “Free-spirited Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, move north in search of a fresh start, but find that the road to new beginnings can be bumpy.” The previous season concluded with several cliffhangers, including Ginny’s love interest entering rehab and Georgia suspecting she might be pregnant, though the identity of the baby’s father—either Paul Randolph, her estranged husband, or Joe, a past love interest—remains unknown.

Creator Sarah Lampert has highlighted that the series continues to focus on the evolving relationship between mother and daughter. Season 4 is expected to further explore and rebuild Georgia’s character following the emotional breaking point she reached in Season 3.
Alongside Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry, Ginny & Georgia also stars Diesel La Torraca, Jennifer Robertson, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Raymond Ablack, and Scott Porter in key roles, promising more drama, suspense, and heartfelt moments in the upcoming season.
