Hollywood actor Tom Cruise finally received an Academy Honorary Award during the Governors Awards last month for the first time in his over four decades of career.
To celebrate the historic moment, Amul India has paid a special tribute to Tom Cruise with a special illustration. The official social media handle of Amul shared a topical illustration of the actor with the caption, “Amul Topical: Hollywood star gets Honorary Oscar for his legacy of work!”
This is not the first time that the company has paid tribute to the actor. Previously, Amul honoured Tom Cruise and his latest film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
Amul posted a drawing of Tom Cruise hanging from a helicopter while wearing a black outfit in the iconic "Mission: Impossible" style. Tom, however, has a piece of buttered toast in one hand, in the Amul twist.
The poster reads, “Better Ethan The Rest!” and “Impossibly tasty.”
Meanwhile, Tom delivered an emotional speech after winning the award. In a moving speech, the Hollywood star discussed the power of films and how they define him.
Filmmaker Alejandro G. Inarritu, who is directing Tom in an upcoming film that will be released next year, presented the award to Tom Cruise, one of the biggest superstars in the world and a star of extravagant films like the "Mission Impossible" series and the "Top Gun" franchise.
The 63-year-old actor honoured everyone who helps make movies possible, as well as the ability of movies to bring people together.
Tom has received four Oscar nominations for his performances in Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, and Magnolia, as well as for producing Top Gun: Maverick.
