In the upcoming movie Heer Express, veteran actor Gulshan Grover, best known as Bollywood's 'Bad Man', is expected to surprise viewers by taking a welcome break from his usual villainous roles.
Gulshan Grover plays a happy and emotionally stable dhaba owner in this endearing story of dreams, legacy, and life's delightful chaos. This character is completely different from the dark personas he is typically linked to.
Heer Express has a new couple and a compelling plot that tries to make you laugh and think while also making you feel something. Grover's performance is already creating a lot of buzz, and the movie promises to be a clean cinematic experience. Both moviegoers and devoted fans have been thrilled by his casting in such a positive, humorous role.
Speaking about this unexpected yet welcome shift in his career, Gulshan Grover shared, “When my son Sanjay, along with director Umesh Shukla asked me if I would like to play a positive role, a role that makes people laugh, a role that makes people cry. And there's nothing villainous about it. And obviously I had emotional reasons, first of all, to do it because my son is the producer and also the story writer of Heer Express, and Umesh Shukla, a dear friend and a director whose work I admire. So it was a good challenge for me. It was an interesting opportunity for me to play this. I'm very happy and delighted. The whole experience was wonderful.”
Gulshan Grover's choice to accept this position gives the project more emotional depth because his son, Sanjay Grover, is also a producer.

When Heer Express opens in theatres on August 8, 2025, viewers can anticipate seeing a different side of Gulshan Grover.
