Popular Star Plus show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is finally coming to an end. After dominating the TRP charts since its launch in 2020, the show has seen a sharp decline in ratings in recent months, prompting the makers to pull the plug. Actor Param Singh, who currently plays Neil, has officially confirmed the news, marking the end of a significant era in Hindi television.

The show, which began with much fanfare, initially starred Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt, and Aishwarya Sharma in the lead roles. Over the years, it underwent several generational leaps and cast changes. The latest and fourth storyline introduced Param Singh, Sanam Johar, and Vaibhavi Hankare as Neil, Ruturaj, and Tejaswini, respectively. However, the response to this new arc was lukewarm at best.

Due to falling viewership, the makers attempted to revive interest by reintroducing Bhavika Sharma as Savi. Bhavika had earlier been a part of the previous storyline opposite Hitesh Bharadwaj, who played Rajat. The makers took a dramatic turn by showing the deaths of Tejaswini and Rajat, paving the way for a new narrative centered around Savi and Neil.

Despite this reboot, the show continued to struggle with ratings and eventually slipped out of the top 20 list. This led to widespread speculation that Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin was headed for a premature end. The rumours were confirmed when Bhavika and Param recently shot for the final episode. A small cake-cutting ceremony on the sets marked the wrap-up.

In an exclusive conversation with Gossips TV, Param Singh confirmed the news: "Yes, the show is set to go off-air. The TRPs decreased as probably the current track had very less connection to the previous track. We'd already sensed it a few weeks ago, however, there wasn't a formal announcement regarding the same," he said.

Sources also reveal that the channel reportedly scrapped more than 18 scenes from the current storyline to fast-track the show's conclusion. The finale will reportedly show that Neil and Savi, despite all the buildup, do not end up together romantically and will part ways as just friends.

This news comes as a big jolt to fans who were still hoping for a turnaround. The show's exit also marks the end of one of the most talked-about series in recent TV history. With TRPs proving unforgiving, the show’s fate highlights how critical storytelling continuity and emotional connection remain in long-running serials.
