ATEEZ on ‘Golden Hour: Part.3’: Bold, Playful, and made with ATINYs in mind

K-pop powerhouse ATEEZ continues to break barriers and redefine artistry with their latest release, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3. Following a historic debut on the Billboard Hot 100—where their electrifying title track Lemon Drop landed at No. 69—ATEEZ has become only the third K-pop boy group, after BTS and Stray Kids, to achieve such a feat. Now in their seventh year, the group is showing no signs of slowing down.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, the members reflected on the era-defining nature of their newest project and the unwavering bond that keeps them grounded.

“This album marks a new level of maturity for us—not just musically, but in how we approached the process,” shared YUNHO. “We challenged ourselves creatively and emotionally, and that growth shows.”

Lemon Drop radiates with upbeat energy while capturing a deeper emotional nuance. “It’s playful and fresh, but with a mature edge,” explained SAN. “We wanted to show that ATEEZ can be bold, fun, and still deeply expressive.”

That fearless attitude has long defined ATEEZ’s musical identity. As leader HONGJOONG put it, “We don’t shy away from difficult conversations or wild ideas. We thrive off collective energy and trust, which lets us take bold steps every comeback.”

Even when the weather works against them, the group’s synergy remains unshaken. WOOYOUNG recalled a rain-drenched concert at New York’s Citi Field where they performed a full set without breaks. “It was exhausting, but the fans’ energy gave us strength. It became one of the most unforgettable nights.”

YEOSANG emphasized that their seamless stage chemistry isn’t magic—it’s built from years of practice and mutual respect. “We’ve learned each other’s rhythms, but we still work hard to improve every time.”

Asked to visually describe the group’s current energy, SEONGHWA envisioned “fire and splashes of color” to symbolize their passion and individuality. MINGI added that their pre-show rituals are simple and personal. “We focus, relax, and just prepare to give our best.”

Looking ahead, youngest member JONGHO hopes for musical growth and global connection. “I want us to keep challenging ourselves creatively and meet more fans around the world. But most importantly, I wish for everyone’s health—because that’s what truly matters.”

As they reflect on their journey, ATEEZ credits their enduring motivation to one source: ATINYs. “Our most defining moments are always with them,” said YEOSANG. “They remind us why we do this.”

With GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3, ATEEZ proves that bold ideas, fearless hearts, and love for their fans remain at the core of everything they do.
