Natalia Janoszek recently got evicted from Bigg Boss 19. In an exclusive conversation with Moneycontrol.com, she spoke candidly about her eviction, her experience inside the house, her views on contestants, and what lies ahead in her career.
When asked whether she felt her eviction was fair, Natalia was clear in her response. “Well, I don't think my eviction was fair. I made friends in the house, so if there would be a voting inside of the house, I wouldn't be nominated. I was nominated because Basir didn't save me, as my best friend. And secondly, Mirgul kind of made fun of the task. You know, he's bubbly, he was distracted by people and I knew it's coming. So to people that liked me in the house, put me in the position of eliminations, and it would be for sure easier to be out because of my actions or because of me losing a task.”
The conversation moved to her immediate reaction when her name was called. Natalia admitted she wasn’t surprised. “I was not shocked, I was prepared. As soon as I heard that I'm nominated with Nagma, Aawez, and Mridul, I knew that I'm standing next to three very powerful people in social media. And in three weeks, it's very hard to build that big audience in India. So I knew that their fans will vote for them and that there is nobody to save me. So I was kind of prepared that it's going to be me.”
She also spoke about how she handled the atmosphere in the house. The question of whether she ever found the drama overwhelming brought out her composed side. “I knew that entering Big Boss, I'm entering a huge drama. So I was prepared that it's going to happen. And the show didn't disappoint, there is a lot of drama. I wasn't the one to pick up the fight and do a big drama simply because I was there not long enough. But I was going there. Like I was getting there. And I think that the real drama is about to start. And that's why people love Big Boss.”
Talk turned to the strongest players in the house and her prediction for the finale. “Right now, there is at least a few people in the house that I can see as strong, strong figures for the final. I would say in the final, Gaurav ji. I think there's a chance for Ashnoor to do it to the final because she's very smart and playing it cool. Vishal sir is interesting because he has an interesting input and people love that. For now, mostly, I see men in the final. But I feel like we should wait and watch because there is a stronger.”
On the subject of authenticity, we asked Natalia if she felt anyone was acting fake. She replied, “Well, I don't think initially anyone is there being really fake and just, like, game oriented. It's more like they have the strategy, like, Gaurav ji, he was discussing his strategies. For sure, in the behavior, lately, we can see that Nehal is kind of having two different sides. And Farhana, kind of, like, they're together and they play a similar thing. But maybe they just misunderstood. So, I think we're going to find it out.”
The idea of whether she would avoid anyone outside the house brought a smile. “I love all of them. Even Abhishek, who took my bed at the end, before I left, I gave him a handshake and I said, I think we can make it work. I left in a very convenient moment because they kind of become a sphere between and I was somewhere there between. And that was unintentional and unplanned. So, I wonder how I would navigate it in the upcoming days. We might see it happen, who knows. For now, I'm watching them closely, how they are acting there. But I feel like after they will be out of the house, I will be in touch with everyone.”
Her eviction coincided with Nagma’s, and Natalia was asked how she felt about it. “I knew and I saw that Nagma is a really calm and sweet girl. And that's not what Big Boss is expecting from you. And that's not what audience is expecting. I think we both were quite similar. We both were in the chopping team together, sitting long hours in the kitchen and nobody appreciated because it was not a drama, you know. As long as it was not a drama around how many eggs who is having this week. So, it was not a shocker. But I knew that she has a huge fan base. So, it was about if they are going to save her or not. But as you could see, it's not about the numbers at the end. At least, not 100% about it.”
During the course of the interview, we also touched on her personal journey, particularly the absence of a father figure and her tendency to run from emotions. Natalia explained, “I believe I'm very independent person because of my personal life and how it was. Because I travel a lot. I work on many movies. I have even two movies now coming in India. I was in Hustle 5 and I was shooting basically all the time for last year. And now I was on the show. So, I don't really have time for private life. That's why being in a house was a kind of a slow down for me. Every day was looking like almost same. And it was something unusual. But he pointed out to me and it was honest and true that he said like, now you can't run away. So, you need to face it, you know. And I'm kind of a person that if it comes to emotions and being close and all. I tend to run away. I just take a slide and I go.”
Her views on fellow contestants were equally honest. Asked if anyone’s behavior stood out in a surprising way, she said, “Basir, when he started acting like it's too hot to handle. But it's in a fun way, you know. I joke to him, I'm like, no, it's not this show. But it was in a very light way. You know, we become close friends. So, we were able to talk on each other. But in a more negative way, I would say it would be Abhishek. Simply because we had this discussion a few times about him being aggressive sometimes and not thinking twice. And also when my bed was taken away. I feel as a person who was the reason of it. He should be enough man to stood up and kind of offer his own bed. And instead of Abhishek, Basir did that. And that's kind of when we got closer. Because if somebody is there for you and supporting you. Then you feel safe. And that's what I received.”
Natalia may have exited Bigg Boss 19, but her plans ahead are packed with films, item numbers, and shows that let her display her true skills.
