Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's much-awaited film Chhaava was officially released on Valentine's Day and has been receiving widespread praise from both audiences and critics alike. The film, which has generated significant excitement, showcases the strong performances of its lead actors, capturing the hearts of viewers with its compelling story and emotional depth.

As word-of-mouth continues to spread, Chhaava is quickly becoming a fan favorite, with many lauding its captivating visuals, impactful dialogues, and the chemistry between the lead pair.

But Fans often express their admiration in intense ways, and their reactions to Chhaava have been no different. Viral videos have captured fans pouring milk over large Chhaava posters and performing aarti. Vicky Kaushal shared a video on his Instagram where fans can be seen pouring milk on the poster while chanting, “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai.”

In another video from a theater in Hyderabad, fans are seen performing aarti to the poster, breaking a coconut, and chanting "Har Har Mahadev."


For those unfamiliar, this kind of reverence is typically reserved for major southern film icons like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, and Ajith Kumar. However, it seems Vicky has now officially joined this prestigious club.

Fan Rides Horse to Theater to Watch Chhaava, Shouts 'Jai Bhavani'

A dedicated fan made a dramatic entrance at a theater in Nagpur, arriving on horseback to watch Chhaava. A video of his grand arrival has gone viral online. The fan, dressed as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, entered the theater to the sound of dhol beats, drawing the attention of surprised moviegoers. As he dismounted from the horse, the audience captured the moment on camera, adding to the excitement surrounding his unique tribute.

In another viral video, the fan is seen riding the horse as the movie credits roll in the background. The clip quickly gained traction online, sparking a range of reactions from social media users, with some finding it amusing while others expressed mixed opinions about the unusual display.

Drunk Fan Damages Movie Screen

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday night at RK Cinemas during the 11:45 pm show. A man named Jayesh Vasava reportedly climbed onto the podium, used a fire extinguisher to tear the movie screen, causing a significant rip before the theater staff intervened and stopped him.


Along with fans, several prominent personalities, including Swara Bhaskar and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, also shared their reactions to the film's success.

According to ANI, speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Fadnavis highlighted that the distortion of history on open-source platforms like Wikipedia would not be tolerated, especially amid the ongoing controversy. The film Chhaava, which centers on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the revered Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has sparked debates regarding the portrayal of history on Wikipedia.

He mentioned, "I have asked the Inspector General of Maharashtra's cyber cell to communicate with Wikipedia officials and ask them to remove the objectionable content regarding Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. We will not tolerate such distortions of historical facts on open-source platforms," Fadnavis said. He further mentioned that he had directed officials to take appropriate measures to resolve the issue.

On the other hand, many notable people like Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, RajKummar Rao,  Ayushmann Khurranna have also praised the film.

Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Instagram stories to congratulate the lead actors and filmmakers on the film's impressive box office collections. He wrote, "It roared like a lion."

He dropped a poster of the film in his stories and wrote, “Chhaava has been watched And it roared like a lion! Congratulations #DineshVijan @vickykaushal09 @rashmika_mandanna @laxman.utekar #akshayekhanna."

Karan Johar also praised the film, congratulating the makers for delivering a true 'Blockbuster.'

"#chaava!!!! Badhai ho on the BLOCKBUSTER success of a solid film with an unstoppable and emotionally visceral and relentless last act," he mentioned.

Actor RajKummar Rao, who was last seen in the blockbuster Stree 2, also took a moment to praise the makers of Chhaava.

Sharing a poster on his stories, he wrote, “#Chhaava is brilliant. @vickykaushal09 you deserve all the love bhai and much more @laxman.utekar sir take a bow. Amazing performances. #DineshVijan more power to you."

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram Story and re-shared a post of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Sharing the post, she wrote, "Vicky Kaushal! What are you???? Cannot get over your performance in Chaava! @vickykaushal09."

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features a talented cast including Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Vicky Kaushal.
