Former One Direction members Zayn Malik, Harry Styles reunite for Liam Payne's funeral

Liam Payne’s funeral took place on Wednesday, November 20, at Amersham, England. Former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan were among those who attended to pay their respects and bid farewell to the singer.

Among others present were his parents, Geoff and Karen Payne, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, as well as Simon Cowell, James Corden, Jamie Scott, and Rochelle Humes. Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts also attended, offering their support to Cheryl Cole, who shares a 7-year-old son with Payne.

Payne's casket was brought to the church in a white horse-drawn carriage, following the arrival of numerous mourners.

Although the service was private and was attending by friends and family members only, a crowd of fans and photographers gathered outside the venue. Many fans showed their respect by mourning the musician in a more considerate manner, participating in vigils and memorials held in cities around the globe in the days and weeks following his passing.

Liam Payne, the former One Direction member, tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16. CCTV footage suggests that he fainted just moments before the fall. His death was attributed to multiple injuries, including internal and external bleeding, as well as a head trauma.

Initially, Argentine authorities had classified Payne's death as a suicide. However, recent developments have led to the arrest of three individuals—a close friend, a hotel worker, and a suspected drug dealer—who have been charged in connection with his death. The identity of the "friend" who is accused of "abandoning a person followed by death" has not been made public, according to reports.

Payne gained international recognition as a member of the boy band One Direction In 2010. The band was formed on the British talent show The X Factor. Following the group’s "indefinite hiatus" in 2016, each member, including Payne, pursued individual careers as solo artists.
