Former One Direction member Zayn Malik has recently dropped a snippet from his upcoming song, Fuchsia Sea. He also shared handwritten lyrics of his song and hinted that he had faced racism when he was in the boy band.
The clip and the lyrics are going viral on social media. However, one particular line from the song is garnering most attention from the fans. The line reads, “Cause I worked hard in a white band, and they still laughed at the Asian.”
The band featured Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and the late Liam Payne, and was formed in the early 2010s. The band rose to stardom with their chart-toppers like What Makes You Beautiful and Best Song Ever. Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 2016.

On the work front, Zayn Malik has recently announced his first-ever solo tour, Stairway to the Sky, following the split in 2024. The singer kicked off his tour in October. He made a stop in 11 cities, including Las Vegas, Washington, DC, and London
